Possession of Marijuana for Sale class 2 Felony (Maricopa County Superior Court) - Remanded to Grand Jury

My client was charged with Possession of Marijuana for Sale or Transportation. He was arrested with 60 (sixty) pounds of marijuana in two suitcases at Phoenix International Airport. He allegedly checked the bags at the ticket counter, TSA searched the bags, and m client was removed from the plane. The prosecutor wanted my client to sign a deal for prison. We said, no thank you. I filed a motion to remand the case to the Grand Jury because the State failed to present clear evidence that my client had any knowledge as to what the bags contained and that the bags were not his. Just today, the Maricopa County Superior Court Judge granted my motion. For now, the Marijuana Transportation/Sale case has been dismissed!
