Waste Management Phoenix Open DUI Task Force 2014

by Aaron Black • January 25, 2014

The Arizona Republic reported that that the DUI Task Force will be out looking for impaired drivers this week at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. If you are not responsible your good time will turn life changing very quickly. Every year, the Law Office of Aaron M. Black, pllc receives numerous calls regarding DUI arrests after leaving the Open. Do not be one of the statistics. Do not drink and drive.

Police from Scottsdale, Phoenix, Tempe, Gilbert, and the Sheriff's Office will be patrolling the area. They will be watching for:

  • wide turns
  • no blinker
  • swerving
  • no lights
  • driving slow
  • and many other minor traffic violations

A misconception held by many people is that the police and prosecutors will take it easy on them since it is their first arrest or they were from out-of-state and simply lost. Wrong.

If you are charged with a DUI and convicted, the mandatory minimum sentence will be one day in jail, $1500 in fines, and the ignition interlock for one year. If you are stopped for a DUI, respectfully give the officer your driver's license, immediately ask to speak with Aaron Black at 480-729-1683, invoke your right to remain silent and refuse all field sobriety tests.

If you have been charged with a DUI while leaving the Waste Management Phoenix Open call Aaron Black. Aaron Black is a Phoenix Criminal Defense Lawyer and one of the leading trial attorneys in Arizona.
